 Ojamiren A. Patience continues to make tremendous impact in the lives of people around her. This time around, she placed her focus on the alarming exponential growth in cases of neglected tropical diseases which is prevalent in her host community Bassambiri in Nembe LGA,Bayelsa state. The patriotic Corps member embarked on the project to enhance the availability of clean water in her host community while attempting to reduce the exponential growth of harmful microbes within the system through unsafe water. The project was officially open to the community for use on the 3rd of October,2022.  The local Government Inspector, Sir Poiba Henry as well as other community dignitaries were present to witness the commissioning of this great project borne of passion and heartfelt patriotism. Ojamiren Patience Aimalokhi of the medical CDS,Nembe BASSAMBIRI once again leads a campaign on menstrual health and Sex Education. She was inspired by the fact that a good number of parents have failed to bond with their children and in doing so failed to make the children understand the changes that occur in their system. As an adage goes,train a woman and train a nation. Patience has focused monumental attention on making sure the girl child understands the changes that occur in her system through conducting this campaign on menstrual health and Sex Education. This is to attempt to curb unwanted pregnancies by what she termed " Children by Choice not Chance". Also to ensure that they add to the already existing knowledge they have without mincing words and also to ensure they don't solely depend on the alternative of learning from inexperienced AGE-GRADE.  The National Youth Service Corps is a unifying organization that brings Nigerians together from all over the world. Corps members are enjoined to follow suit and remain steadfast towards the growth and attitudinal development of our society. A lot of corps members just come to serve and leave after completing their one year of serving their fatherland. But there are few exceptions one of such is "Ojamiren Patience Aimalokhi" who took it upon herself to conduct a Community Development service(CDS) in her host community Bassambiri,Nembe local government area of Bayelsa state. It is a remote community where so many families try to make ends meet and most depend solely on the government for basic allowances and healthcare.
