ANYIAM KENNEDY MOTIVATES CORPS MEMBERS TO MAKE HISTORY ONCE AGAIN
OPU-NEMBE CORPS MEMBERS MAKE HISTORY, EMBARK ON INTENSIVE HUMANITARIAN SERVICE
One of the cardinal aspects of the NYSC is cultural integration and intercommunal development and fostering these values remain priority. Opu nembe corps members embarked on a programme tagged: "Touch a life initiative" to ensure that impact is made while contributing their own quota towards the attitudinal development of their host community
Several services were rendered such as:
πFree medical services featuring medical tests including diagnosis and drug administration by trained corps professionals in the field
π Shoe making
π Tailoring
π Hair dressing
π Barbing
π Pedicure and manicure
π Among others.
The sweet part is that all these services were free of cost
At least 500 persons were served in different capacities which includes some persons from the sister community (ogbolomabiri) who could not help but key into the great event.
The collaboration inspired by Anyiam kennedy E. is a testament to his leadership skills and ability to inspire others into action. His administration has since it's inception brought about collaboration between two territories Opu-Nembe and Ogbolomabiri who through societal disputes have not maintained good relations. However, events like these serve the sole purpose of unifying the communities under his jurisdiction and also contributing to towards achieving the goal of the NYSC(Cultural integration with no discrimination and promoting unity).
Corps members and their leader C.L.O, ANYIAM KENNEDY E were applauded by the residents, dignitaries and the LGI(Mrs James) and urged the corps members to intensify efforts to ensure that impact continues.
