ANYIAM KENNEDY AND HIS TEAM CONDUCTS IN-HOUSE QUIZ AMONG CORPS MEMBERS
Anyiam Kennedy and his team at Nembe LGA,BAYELSA STATE have been conducting several community Development service. Indeed, it is said that when there is passion, Nothing is impossible.
Anyiam Kennedy E. since he set foot in Opu-Nembe has intensified efforts to ensure the LGA is in the map and activities recognized both locally and internationally.
From leading the Medical C.D.S team into several outreach and community development services
To creating a blog to document Corps members' activities which has been an inspiration to corps members in other locations such as Ogbia,Ekeremor,Yenagoa etc encouraging healthy competition
To becoming the Corps Liaison Officer and motivating the corps members into several activities geared towards community development and fostering unity among sister communities.
This week, Kennedy brought up an idea to ensure that corps members are challenged beyond what they know.
With the support of his team: Oghenevwogaga Patrick,Alayande Stephen,Obialor Chidimma and Adesuyi Joseph. A quiz was announced and corps members asked to study certain areas to prepare.
On the quiz day(today) volunteers from different C.D.S groups came around to represent their groups.
They include:
Education C.D.S
Environmental C.D.S
Medical C.D.S
Sports C.D.S as well as
Skill Acquisition C.D.S
Anyiam Kennedy, to demonstrate leadership represented the Medical C.D.S group and appointed his second in Command Adesuyi Joseph(the Marshall) to chair the event
It was a long stretch and questions came from all angles and works of life including current affairs, basic facts,sports, mind boggling puzzles and very few questions from health.
In the end:
The Education C.D.S won represented by Esther Nneka and Oluwabukunmi Eve
Runner up, Medical C.D.S represented by the Corps Liaison Officer(Anyiam Kennedy E) and Folasayo Angella
OTHERS WERE: Sports C.D.S, Environmental, and Skill Acquisition C.D.S(in order of achievement/success in the quiz)
After the quiz, Anyiam Kennedy thanked the corps members and urged them to be examples by continuing to improve themselves with soft skills as well as stay up to date with the trends in the education system so as to better impact their host community.
He presented prizes alongside the Marshall to the winners and congratulated them for a job well done.
While Anyiam Kennedy's group(the medical CDS) were not so happy with their performance because they were used to being in the spotlight. He urged them to cheer up as the goal of the event was not to have a winner but the greater goal was to inspire other C.D.S groups to make impact just as the medical C.D.S have been doing for a long time now.
He also urged the winners to come up with more creative ideas to help move their well-being and the occupants of their host community forward.
